Learning Lab

A specialized educational center that is a resource center to support student needs. This area features small, individual rooms as well as a large center area for small group instruction. The environment in the Learning Lab is welcoming, quiet, and supportive of individual assistance, student testing and assignment support.

Currently, we have developed a sensory space for students who need a calming experience to better prepare them for learning and social interaction.

Learning Support for Grades 6-8

Welcome to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School! I am excited to be back and look forward to continuing my work as the middle school Special Needs Coordinator. As a team, we are dedicated to our work in assisting students and providing a positive learning environment that inspires lifelong learners.

Middle school student interventions include test taking strategies and support, organizational tools and planning, technology support, small group instruction, as well as Alphabetic Phonics (AP) tutoring through a private contract with parents.

Our objective is to provide a positive school experience for all students.

Learning Support

To provide each student an opprotunity to achieve his/her highest potential, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School has developed a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in Kindergarten-Fifth Grade in both English Language Arts and Math. At the middle school level, enrichment and intervention opportunities are provided through core and elective classes. Accommodations, assistive technology, differentiated instruction, and small-group support are all methods to support student learning.
